The Central Eastern Business Association in WA (CEBA) conducted their inaugural Small Business Awards in June 2009, awarding Runner-up in the Best Retail Business to Party Plus Morley.
The franchisees were surprised yet delighted at the nomination, saying “Our local CBA bank manager nominated us, and we were thrilled to be able to accept the award on behalf of our local team [of 8] and the entire Party Plus network.”
While many other business owners have been worrying and complaining about uncertain economic conditions, Party Plus Morley have continued to grow their sales, profits and customer base.
“We’re really happy how the business is continuing to develop and grow, so I’m rather mystified by all the talk about problems with the economy”, franchisor Andrew Foote said.
“Our stores just continue to do what we've always done … provide quality party hire equipment, balloons and general party supplies with a genuine personalised service to our loyal customers. Sales are up, profits are up, our franchise system and their teams have low turnover … and the owners are getting time off from the business to do other things.”
